With Macedonia Foundation

Although our members come from different countries and backgrounds, we maintain one common belief: that culture matters.

Culture can be a uniting force, a force for individual betterment, and a force for social transformation. Internationally-recognized cultural figures, therefore, can have a major and positive impact on issues ranging from poverty and public health to inequality and social injustice.

By working with world cultural figures, and winning their support, the With Macedonia Foundation is also supporting the prospect of a better future for all those living in the Republic of Macedonia. This small and often overlooked Balkan nation is beset with many serious challenges, some common to other countries in transition others, completely unique.

The cultural figures with whom the With Macedonia Foundation engages include visual artists and musicians, actors and other performing artists, sportsmen, scholars, and other cultural emissaries who have influence in areas relevant to Macedonia, from food and wine to faith and tourism.

By working with such figures, our foundation gives them the opportunity to express their support for Macedonia in a variety of ways. Whether it is standing with Macedonia by bringing attention to its cultural and touristic offerings, or standing with Macedonia in support of freedom and human rights, these figures can have a powerful effect on bringing the issues that matter before a global audience. Their words and actions will therefore have direct benefit for the future of Macedonia as a prosperous, free and democratic nation.
